2007 - YES
Happy New Year everyone. I hope you are all enjoying or about to enjoy a night to remember. The SRB would like to thank those who helped make 2006 a tough one to beat. We spent most of our nights on stage, with you, trying to paint as vivid a picture of Chemical City as possible. After a few tentative first-steps, it quickly took on a mind of it's own - Frankenstein's monster slipping away from the controlling grip of its thought-to-be masters. I'm glad it did and I don't know if we'll ever enjoy playing as much as we did this past year. As for 2007, there is new music own the horizon... Too early to say exactly where it is going but it's going someplace. There are, however, far more pressing matters at hand. It seems as though we have reached a real fork-in-the-road moment as human beings. Do we slip into a smog-induced coma of obliviousness as the world goes to shit? or do we turn this fume belchin', net-draggin', over-flowing piss-pot of an oil tanker, which humanity has been pushing full-throttle towards its own demise, around now? Let's make it a year for taking personal responsibility for the world we live in, starting with our own little corner of it. Our lack of vision as a species (especially in our role as caretakers of the planet which provides us with life) is both puzzling and suicidal. If we were genetically programmed to seek out our own destruction then let the acid rain fall! But I just don't believe it, there's too much gain by making it work. So let's do it amigos. Happy New Year once again, love the SRB
