Good-day people.
Today is the second day of our tour with Ben Kweller which began last night in Houston (check out the tourdates page for details). This was our first time playing there and the small crowd seemed to dig the show. We had a hard time concentrating for the first few songs as all of our thoughts were back home in Montreal, where a senseless shooting spree killed and injured too many people in our home town. Dawson College is such a well-known part of the city, a place we pass by everyday- Eric's old school, my brother's old school, my wife's old school. Never could any of us imagine somthing like this happening there or anywhere else in the city. It is a place where peace and tolerance have governed our lives, not violence and rage. Vive La Vraie Ville Marie!!!
On a less sombre note, for those of you who are from Montreal or nearby, we'd like to announce that tickets for our show at Metropolis on November 2nd are now ON SALE. They can be purchased at www.geg.ca or www.ticketpro.ca
Next, we'd like to announce that we will be performing Bridge To Nowhere on the Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson on Friday September 22nd at 12:35am! YESSS. See you on the tube!
Finally, we are excited to be performing at the Austin City Limits Festival on Sunday. Tons of great bands will be there from friday to sunday. If you'd like to check out the festival, http://blueroom.att.com will be streaming it free, live, and uninterrupted.
That's all for now folks!
